I am an experienced teacher and scholar with a PhD in English Language and Literature.
I am bilingual in English and German and I teach both as foreign languages, but I also offer private classes across various subjects and proficiency levels. I teach English for all levels, especially exam preparation for IELTS, Cambridge Assessment etc., and Academic Writing. I particularly enjoy teaching German for beginners and intermediate learners.
I can help students with essay writing and exam preparation for GCSE and A-Level in the Humanities, especially English and History. I am an expert in Shakespeare and Renaissance Literature and History, and I have previously acted as doctoral co-supervisor.

Teaching background
I have taught English and German as foreign languages for ten years as well as Literature classes at university, and I have previously taught non-assessed German courses at King’s College London. I now teach English Language and Literature, German, and History for GCSE, as well offering tuition for English Literature, History and Academic Writing at A-Level and degree level.
I am a patient and empathetic teacher, a strong linguist and a good communicator. I enjoy teaching grammatical concepts in German and English as part of a balanced approach to language learning, and I have helped many students prepare for exams and interviews across various disciplines. I also have experience of teaching children of secondary school age preparing for GCSE or A-Level exams (DBS certificate on request).
